Resilience Home Care LLC is hiring a Full-Time Traveling Caregiver to serve clients across our service areas. This unique role is perfect for a compassionate, reliable, and flexible caregiver who thrives on variety and wants to support individuals in maintaining independence and dignity in their own homes.
Position Overview:
As a Traveling Caregiver, you’ll be the go-to support for filling same-day call-offs, new client assignments, or backup shifts across various locations. Each morning, our scheduling team will inform you where you’re needed. This role requires open availability, including weekends, and a strong commitment to dependable client care.
Minimum Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved HHA or CNA training program
Licensure & Certification
• Must hold a valid CNA license or HHA certification in the State of Michigan
OR
• New graduates may be hired with proof of program completion. A 90-day grace period will be granted to pass the state certification exam. Continued employment is contingent upon passing the exam within this timeframe.
Additional Requirements
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross preferred)
• Negative TB test (within the past 12 months)
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if transporting clients)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility as needed
• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping others
Core Responsibilities:
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, mobility support
Maintain a clean and safe home environment, including light housekeeping, laundry, and bed changes
Support with meal planning, preparation, grocery shopping, dishes, and kitchen clean-up
Provide companionship and emotional support throughout the day
Remind clients to take self-administered medications
Observe and report any changes in condition or environment to supervisors promptly
Maintain effective communication with clients, families, and co-workers
Document services accurately and submit records electronically
Assist with training and mentoring new caregivers when needed
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing education
Provide one-on-one care that prioritizes safety, dignity, and well-being
Position Requirements:
Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance
Ability to pass background and driving record checks
Previous senior care experience required (references needed)
Open availability (Monday–Sunday) — shift refusal may impact pay
Excellent attendance history
Able to lift up to 25 lbs, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks without restriction
Comfortable working in homes with pets, smokers, and clients of any gender
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Dependable, adaptable, and compassionate demeanor
